Default Questions to Ask Shipping Companies

I have never shipped my corvette before. I would appreciate any key questions I need to ask or things to look for when picking a shipping company and I know many of you have done this more than once.
I know to make sure it is an enclosed trailer, beyond that I am clueless. Would appreciate any and all insight!

Thanks and have a great 4th of July!

The best advice I can give you is to not use brokers and to use the ones suggested by people on the forum. InterCity transport is a forum vendor, and your car could not be in better hands. There are other good ones out there but I have personally used InterCity.

Agree 100% with the above, never use brokers and you can remove ALL your worry by using Intercity. They may be a little more expensive than some you can find but they will handle your C7 just as you would handle it and probably even better.
And they will keep you informed every step. No worrying/wondering why your car is.

Unless Intercity doesn't cover the route you need.

Thanks guys.
Unfortunately INtercity doesn't cover the route. So back to my original question, anything I need to watch for or ask?

Ask for references of past Corvette moves by the company.
And, you can always request if any forum members have had experiences with ABC movers.

Talk to Southern Integrity Auto Transport. I just used them to move my 2016 from Iowa to North Carolina. They move a lot of the high end cars for Mecum Auctions.

I've used Reliable as well, never any damage, about same price as Intercity, but communication isn't as good and you kind of get it when you get it as opposed to frequent updates on car's progress.

MAKE SURE you ask them if the broker out to other transporters or will THEY carry your car. I was going to use Shaughnessy Overland Express until I found out they were going to broker the transport to a company that didn't even have insurance.....DO YOU HOMEWORK!!!!!

This is the reason I used Southern Integrity, even with Intercity and Reliable, both of which I have used, your car is stacked with multiple vehicles and routinely moved to accommodate delivering other vehicles. To me it’s just peace of mind knowing my car is the only one in the trailer.

I've used Masney Auto Transport multiple times. Never an issue.
They have 7 or 8 trucks and are NOT a broker.
Have both open and enclosed.
They're out of Florida but they've shipped cars to me on the west coast from Jersey, NYC, FL and Chicago
407-877-8882 and 407-877-0046
Last one was a C7 from FL to CA, enclosed for $1800

Most people don’t even think of these key points to cover with the carrier

What is the deductible on my insurance policy that you're providing? It should be: $0. Email me your insurance carrier coverages with the transportation documents.

When will you pick up my car, and, when will you deliver it? Get it in writing, and agree on daily $ penalties for missed delivery per diem. Again......get a signed contract for this.

Go with one of the highest priced carriers, such as Horseless Carriage for best results.👍

Another detail; avoid any small/er carriers that consist of a guy with a HD pick up and a small, enclosure trailer. These are very accident prone to highway traffic conditions being pulled by basically a pick up.
