Default Ok, back in the club. Couple of C7 questions

Hey guys, been a while since there has been a corvette in the garage. But I'm back in the game with a 2014 Stingray.

I was going through some tutorials online last night. Couple of them that don't seem to be an option on mine...

1- Can't find the setting to put the exhaust in "track" mode, all the time. That option isn't in my settings options.

2-Changing the tach readout. Those options don't seem available either.

Since 2014 was the first year, are these not available until one of the other years, or might need a software update?

Thanks in advance

2014 NPP exhaust IF INSTALLED (do you have valves on the outer pipes?) settings are OFF (same as Track) and AUTO (follows drive mode). Pull fuse #41 to keep the valves open all the time.

DIC has all modes as does the HUD (2/3LT). Use the arrow keys under your right thumb on the steering wheel, scroll left, then to the bottom of the list, hit OK, then scroll in center to display, then right. You can select Link to drive mode, Tour, Sport, or Track....

There is a lot of good info up in the C7 General / Sticky Threads including this section which has links to the owner's manual.

Look under Vehicle Personalization.

Thanks Ron, appreciate it. I skimmed some of the FAQ's but must have missed that.

Welcome back. Bigger question...... did you get a new/better camera yet?

You'll also find that the early years of the C7 didn't offer Apple Car Play/ Android Auto either, so don't look for that function unless it was swapped out with a new radio.

As @RonC7 said the 2014 NPP only has two settings: auto (= link-to-drive mode) or off (= track).

The track DIC got updated in later years to include more information... but sadly the 2014 can't updated to this new display. You can still edit some of the performance parameters but its limited compared to later years.

Just in case you didn't know the 2014 suffers from a fan relay problem so if the car overheats on you that is normally the reason. Replacing the fan with the new model is the fix.

Ah.. good to know. Much appreciated. Sounds like Ron mentioned I could pull a fuse to have the exhaust issue solved as well.

Last one was a 2000 C5, man, I know this is 7 years old now, but feels like a new car. Such an upgrade.

Congrats on getting a '14 C7 - as you are finding out, one heck of a difference between it and a C5. Good luck with the car - I sure like mine.

The Track mode selection is located on your Infotainment center screen.

Your tach settings are located on the right side of your steering wheel.

This thread covers the fuse pull trick: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ck-result.html for me switching to a catless x-pipe was enough.

Thanks bud. My concern was that I wouldn't fit (6'6) but no problems there. So all good to go!

I am getting that fixed. $1199 at MVI gets me two modules, a center console plug, and a nav antenna to add Android, apple and Navigation on my 2015 1LT
It all should be here in about 2 weeks. They are currently on vacation. Ships out when they come back.
