Car dealerships don't agree with that one. Mine applied wheel locks after being cleaned out on their display lot. No more thefts since.

They won't stop a thief but they will slow them down, if a thief that wants your car they will steal it out of your garage if they want it bad enough

I just put my car on jack stands and bring the wheels to the tire shop. Jacking these cars up can be odd, and this gives them time to do the tires without me waiting there for them. Good for everyone.

And yeah, I never use locking lugs either. Hate those things!

The car was let for a few days to have bent and cracked wheels repaired/replaced so I wasn't able to watch them. I did tell them no impact guns when I left the car.

Dearlership is not the same as homeowner, if they really want your wheels they are taking them, locks or not.

Slowing down yes, but only slightly. My point was simply if they want them and they know what they are doing, it will not slow them down enough to make much of a difference

I do not use them, others will. To each their own, I'm not saying not to use them, just simply if they want your wheels and know what they are doing, they will get them and it wont slow them down much at all.

KGrant, Thanks for the pics. I like your heavy duty industrial chain steering wheel lock solution. Paul
