Corvette C7 battery has 12.2V when car is off, isn't that too low?
Hi,
Does anybody know what is the proper voltage of Corvette C7 battery at rest? I know from other cars if this gets close to 11.9V the car is unlikely to start anymore.
I am driving the car pretty often and 12.2V is day after I drove 30min on highway. The battery was replaced by dealer less than month ago.

A lead acid battery is considered fully discharged at 12 volts. A fully charged battery is 12.6 to 12.8 volts.
There is a chart that you can look uo to determine charge vs voltage.

How are you measuring voltage? If on the instrument panel, the car is "awake" with multiple current draws. Try popping the hatch / trunk, and measuring in the rear lighter socket AFTER the dome lights, etc. have turned off...

multimeter?
The car will be using some juice if the rear hatch is open. To get an accurate reading, disconnect the negative battery terminal, and using a multimeter on the battery itself, take your reading.
Or, leave it alone and don't sweat it.
