Is there a weight limit to C7 seats?
I have a rather large friend, you can say obese. Probably easily 300 pounds. Assuming that he can fit in the car, he wants a ride in my C7, but his weight makes me nervous. Any thoughts?

I dont think he will be comfortable. Bottom bolsters are too narrow.

According to my sticker on the door, the max weight allowed in the car for occupants AND cargo is 525 pounds. So, he weighs 300, add your weight and what do you get? Personally, I wouldn't let him sit in the car. The seats are not designed for obese people. They won't fit in the bolsters, nor will the seat belt get around them (maybe?).
Tell him the seats max out at 250 pounds.

Depends on the build. 300 and 5’6” is different from 300 and 6’4”. Weight should be fine but as others mentioned, getting out is the unknown. Getting out when you weight 200 isn’t exactly a picnic.

He just wants a ride so give him a ride and comfort is secondary as it's not like you going on a road trip so a 15-60 minute joy ride shouldn't be that big of a deal for him and when he says or you ask and if becomes more uncomfortable for him then turnaround.

You wouldn’t let your FRIEND sit in your used Chevy

Could definitely expose your interior to damage.

It's an uncomfortable situation to deal with.
Similar to when your daughter or niece asks if you can drive/escort them if your Corvette convertible in the parade. You certainly want to say YES, but you know your interior and rear deck is going to take a beating as a result.

I have a friend that is on the cusp of 300 pounds, and about 5' 8". Not only did we go for a ride in my GS, he drove it too. Our friendship to me, is far greater than my car is. He likes cars too, and being able to take a ride and even better, drive it, was well worth any wear. And if it helps, nothing broke.

On a positive note, I did learn the weight limit for my car as far as passengers and luggage is concerned. I weigh 150, my wife is 120, so she could put the kitchen sink and other stuff in the trunk and I'd make the limit! After all, I have 255 pounds for luggage!

I had a very large girl in the passenger seat of my C6. Those seats were held together with plastic from a lego set compared to the C7 Lol. I thought for sure, she was going to bust the seat. My guess...at least 350 pounds. Much to my amazement, the seat had no issues. Now we didn’t drive anywhere but it just looked uncomfortable watching her get in and out of the car.

A short ride in friendship will allow for some discomfort on their part.
Let them sit down slowly, not "drop" into the seat.
I have a slower time getting out of my G S with the side skirts!
