Rubber dam under the nose
Does anyone have the proper name for the rubber dam/spoiler under the C7 nose that does all the scraping against the pavement? A friend of mine has finally torn his and he is looking for a part description or number.
Thanks
Thanks

Always double check any part number when you order. GM has a habit of changing numbers often to make it hard on the guys that do DIY stuff!

Let's not forget the centerpiece for those that need that - or want to add it: these worked for my 2019 stingray
Left Lower Deflector 22799210
Center Deflector 22799212
Right Lower Deflector 22799211
I got mine for about $51 each...

How to avoid scratching the deflector?
I have already scratched my front deflector on my 2019 GS after buying it 2 days ago!
I have a sloping driveway and I can’t seem to avoid scratching the pavement no matter how slow I go..
Does anyone have any advice other than “leave it in the garage and don’t drive it?” LOL
Thanks, still pinching myself every day when I look at it. Can’t believe its mine..

I hate those things and removed mine awhile ago and didn't know it was a market for them and I wonder if I can find them in the garage somewhere or did I throw them in the trash thinking no one wanted or would need them. Hummm

Have you tried going at an increased angle to or from the driveway . So that one wheel at a time goes from driveway to roadway ether entering or leaving. It will reduce or prevent the rubbing.

Hit your driveway at a 45° angle or so. OOOOOrrrrrrr you could do what I did when I drove the car home from the dealer and remove the 2 side deflectors. Unless you regularly drive over 100 MPH, they're not functioning anyhow so why have them on when all they do is scrape on pretty much any incline? The splitter almost hides them from view so why have them at all? My 2 air dams are sitting in my attic and in perfect condition!

Another aid is to get some black silicon sealer. At the 90 deg corner where the upper and lower meet. Fill this area the whole length with the silicon about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch this will help slow the tearing of the air dam. If the originals are still in one piece you can us this method to repair it.

My C6 had those as does my current C7. They are relatively inexpensive to replace so I think of them as a consumable/disposable item that needs replacing eventually. I will just use them until they shred... IMHO, YMMV.

Also, you can check that your ride height is adjusted correctly, even from the factory it may be somewhat off.
The attached chart shows the correct dimensions for different models of C7.
Our Z51 was only about 1/4" low in the front, but setting it up correctly eliminated our scraping in a particular parking lot.
The measurements are done with full fuel, no luggage, no people. Tires properly inflated and subtract any tire wear from the official spec.
EDIT-
Adjusting the heights is not complicated, but actually turning the bolts can be difficult. Each turn of the bolt will raise/lower the fender lip by about 1/8", then you have to drive for a few miles for everything to settle. Ours required two tries to get it right.
Best of luck to you.

First thing I did was remove the L and R ones. Then finally installed my splitter undertray that was sitting in the box for over a year. That automatically gets rid of the center one. Good riddance.
