Anyone use a California PopTop Interior Cover?
I am taking a long roadtrip much of which will be in the hot Southern Utah desert so I was think about getting a California PopTop Interior Cover.
Like to know if anyone has one, how useful it is and if it’s worth the effort.
BTW, my C7 is a coupe with a transparent top.

I had one on a different car (convertible) and it was great - it kept the interior cool, and bird droppings off the interior. That and a dash mat - no cracking at 31 years old. I'm guessing this is in lieu of a full car cover when the car is parked outside?

Twenty years ago I used a Mid America Motorworks Cockpit Cover on my 97. It worked much better than a car cover since in a few minutes I could throw it on the car before I walked into work and take it off in a few minutes after I returned to the car. It folded into a small bag and didn't take up a lot of room. It was similar in design but at a little lower cost. They have one for C6/C7s you might consider.

I have a California Pop-Top for my Miata and it's fantastic. It's made out of Tyvek (or equivalent) so it's really light weight and folds up to nearly nothing. If it rains just give it a shake and it dries quickly. It's important to keep the mirrors and the back deck clean. The front part is held on by the pockets that hug the mirrors, the wipers hold down the section over the windshield, and the back is a drawstring cord (at least on mine) that puts the whole thing in tension. It's never blown off, even in a heavy wind/rain storm.
In contrast I also tried a heavier cover from Moss Miata. That thing was like a sponge and caused mildew on my convertible top. Squirrels loved to chew on it, the velcro straps didn't hold up and it kept blowing off my "little" car.

I have/use a Covercraft interior cover for my 911 which works fine when I want to cover it w/o putting the top up while on the road and in the garage. Also have a cheap OEM full car cover for the 911 that I use when it's in the garage.
This is a stock photo from CoverCraft's website to giv e you an idea what it looks like. Price varies depending on the car but is in the $100-200 range. Attachment points also vary. On my 911, the main attachments are around the wipers, door handles and under the rear engine cover with wrap arounds for the mirrors.

"California To Ban Black Cars?" Wow; do you think the California PopTop site ad is old enough, or what?
