One should never "waive" to a Porsche.

We are not unique. Porsche enthusiasts, Jeep enthusiasts all wave, give thumbs up or piece sign. We can all get along....we have more in common than differences.

You intended to waive to a C4? That alone is a crime in the vette world. Last March, I picked up a 96 to drive for a few months. Had it for 4 months. Even my wife noticed that no one was waiving back. Funny, Friday night we'd take the c4 out and get completely ignored. Saturday night we'd take the c7 out and other vette drivers would waive left and right. It was the oddest thing. Sad really, like we were some trash not worthy of acknowledging
I get waved at in the C4 a lot more than the C7! A lot of people do not recognize the C7, so they might think you are in another brand. We passed a C8 going to San Diego and I had to get close to see the badging to make sure. Sweet!
OP, BTDTGTT! I have waived at numerous cars, especially Roadsters while driving down PCH past Malibu. I do not know if it is the twisty-turns, the view of the Pacific Ocean, or I am in such a good mood from the fresh air, or just driving a great Roadster!

lol - OP, I offer a wave to any car that I think is cool. Not many wave back and that's okay. There's probably a pretty good story for all of 'em.

Porsche owners are great. They always like to wave as I go by them at Sebring.

Help me decide what my penance is for this terrible act. I'm admitting to the forum that I (gasp) Waived to a Porsche by mistake. Yes, there it is. I was driving home facing the sun. I saw a bright red C4 coming at me, but the sun was bouncing off the bright red paint. Just as I waived I saw it wasn't a C4, but a Porsche!
I know I'm throwing myself on the mercy of the forum, but I have to decide what to do to make it up to the Corvette community.
So pick one please.
And yes, I apologize.

Agreed. And when I am on one of my motorcycles (sport bikes) I wave at anything on two wheels, even scooters and Harleys.
