Default Low VIN - how to get the most from a resale

I have heard low VIN corvettes are of extra value. I have the 40th Corvette made of the C7 generation (2014). Car was also featured in music video with Playboy models.

I have not sold cars on personal sale very much (last time was 13 years ago).

What is the best way to get a much value out as possible. If I trade it in, they will not take the low VIN into consideration.

I doubt a low VIN is worth extra to anyone.

And the above shot makes me wonder about the paint.

The VIN for 2014 that added value was number one. Every other number is a curiosity.

As stated, any VIN other than #1 will not be worth any more than another.

I owned a 2013 VR GS Mn coupe serial number 00011.
Built April 2012. That was 3 months before 2013 production began.
Car had 7500 miles on it and was on the MSO with Warren, Mi. as
the delivery point.
The same dealer had s/n 00004. An A6 GS coupe w/ 4400 miles.
Didnt get anything extra when I traded it in to Terryville chevy with
11000 miles on it a couple years later.
Found out the first 20 2013 cars were built as pre production cars.
That was why they were built early.

Never going to matter... at least not in our lifetimes. As for me, I'd never buy a low VIN Vette (I always buy new), since I don't wish to be an unpaid GM beta-tester.

Probably bitten by that washed up Ric Flair looking junkie in lower right of the pic. The boils on his face are probably due to too much light during the shoot and the sun beginning to rise outside.

Don't count on a low VIN, other than perhaps the first one of a new generation, being worth any more than any other car.

Your car is worth what any other 2014 would be worth in similar condition

Its cool that your car has some history. Maybe a little bragging rights, and you might be able to get a buyer to select yours over another.

How does the CF hood support 2 girls? I guess they are much stronger than I thought.
