Lighter fluid for tar. For bugs, I use Adam's Waterless wash spray.

In the past, Turtle Wax had some bug & tar remover that worked well. Haven't used it recently and don't even know if it still exists. But it's worth looking for at parts stores. Just a thought.

These two are the best I've used so far:
Citrol 266
CarPro Tar-X

They have NEVER let me down

Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remover has worked well for me. I have also used Adam’s Polishes Detail Spray with good success.

Believe it or not, for bugs, Windex works very well.

I have used Bugslide for years for bugs, really good stuff. Most motorcycle stores have it as does Amazon.. WD40 has worked well for me on road tar/oil.

I started using Griot's recently and I'm happy with the results. Considered CarPro but just went with Griot's for now.

I use WD40 as well. Mostly to get the black marble streaks off the car after track events, but works on bugs too.

I recommend Adam's TAR or Stoner Tarminator.

I agree. And that quart size should be about a lifetime supply.

Lemon Pledge for bugs. Spray in on, let it sit for a minute and wipe off. The citrus breaks down the bug much like Bugslide at a 1/10 the cost.
