In the past, Turtle Wax had some bug & tar remover that worked well. Haven't used it recently and don't even know if it still exists. But it's worth looking for at parts stores. Just a thought.

Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remover has worked well for me. I have also used Adam’s Polishes Detail Spray with good success.

Drifting
I have used Bugslide for years for bugs, really good stuff. Most motorcycle stores have it as does Amazon.. WD40 has worked well for me on road tar/oil.
