7sp-Manual vs 8-sp-AT for Z51

Been driving manuals since I was 16 - I'm now 75 and love the M7 in my GS. I just feel more connected with the Corvette experience by rowing through the gears. Mashing the gas and holding the steering wheel just doesn't excite me. That event would be driving my truck or my wife's car.

In my lifetime I have owned 4 Vettes, all have been manuals and I wouldn't have it any other way. In my mind having a Vette with a slushbox is like banging with a condom, your almost there, but not quite!

I'm so glad I ordered my car with the 7 speed, as well as the other options I wanted. wheels can be changed easily; but not the transmission

If you want a M7, then keep searching. The lack of a manual is the only reason why I haven’t yet considered a C8.

Your post got me thinking, I've had 11 manuals! Both Vettes (1972 Convertible and 2019 Convertible Z51), a Camaro Z28, three Porsches, a Lotus Europa, an Alfa Spider, two trucks (GMC and Jeep - which I still have) and a Datsun 210 (long ago)!
