7 years 35K miles no problems. Wet damp towel on the dash, water only, no cleaners or leather conditioners.

I put my faith in science and actual data. I'll leave anecdotes to others. Automobiles are never engineered based on anecdotes.
Facts are the only conclusive evidence to rely upon.

Would it be safe to say Joe that owners should not be using sperm oil on their 3LT/3LZ leather that somebody here recommended using for automobiles and home furnishings?

It appears to me that the oft quoted 1% problem with the dash on 3LT/3LZ by MMD is off by a factor of 30!

Funny thing is that he NEVER has any FACTUAL DATA to back up his 1% CLAIM

Sir I am in the same boat, still looking for a cheaper option to fix my car. POST if you find one. Thanks,

MMD has provided the only data available. Which is 100% more than you have...

Funny, the only data MMD has provided is total 3LT/3LZ vehicle production numbers. I have provided the 8 DIFFERENT PART NUMBERS-JUST FOR THE EBONY DASH along with supersession dates for each part number, along with comparison of in stock inventory currently at GM warehouses and dealers of the 3 series dash versus 1LT &2LT. As I pointed out, there are 35 dealers that currently keep this dash in stock and compared with only 2 dealers that stock a 2LT dash, which indicates that, based on total vehicle production GM is well aware of the problem.

Personally, my 3LT dash is on the latest part number that was released on 5/1/20, replacing the earlier revision which was released 10/1/17. Even this informal poll indicates a 30% failure rate, which is a lot higher than MMD's "1%"

I know that the poll here isnt real scientific, but it shows that 30% of those responding to the poll have a problem or have had the problem repaired. These are real numbers

Sir thank you for keeping up with the dash problem. My dash started to lift at 19,500 mi. I have 20,180 now. Its a 2015 stingray with 3lt. are we still working on this with GM ? I have 5 case numbers from when it first started, all the people at GM told me to buy a ford, I guess a Mustang. They also told me that GM only wants to sell TRUCKS.
Again thanks for your help. Berniet

I think mr. MMD is just likes to be other peoples conversations, from what I have read there could be 30% that have bad dashes.

I just noticed a bubble in mine on the passengers side at the seem about the size of a ping pong ball!
You can press it back down but it won't stay. Like the glue isn't sticking anymore?
