Default Ceramic brake poll , what brand used?

Wondering how many have changed to ceramic brake pads on Grand Sport or other models, what brand used and why. What part number. Also how many had brown rotors from Power Stop. Seems to be a problem with them. Likes and dislikes with all.

Z51, PowerStop Z23, 10 months & 5K miles = no dust, no brown

Also just for the record the Z51 cars use the same pads as the base car, only the rotors are different (larger).

I use PowerStops Z23 on the wife's Infiniti Q60 with no issues either other then a slight squeak in reverse occasionally.

PowerStop Z26, I have had them on for about 4000 miles. No brown rotors and stocks as good as stock.

So many threads on this

Seems like the PowerStops are the most popular for street use anyway. Very little dust. No brown rotors here. No squeals. Only issue is they are made by Chi-Com.

I had the CarbonTechs that are so touted here but they were dusty. Of course the stock pads are dusty too.

I have hunted for other pads that are better for the street but nothing seems to be better to me, yet.

PowerStop Z26 - absolutely love them...they have amazing stopping power, no noise, no browning, and almost zero dust. They are also 1/3 the price of CarboTech.

Fronts --> Z26-1405
Rears --> Z26-1718

As a side note, I've used Z26, Carbotech, and Hawk Ceramic pads. I have no interest in selling or convincing others on which pad is best (really, I don't care what you run), but here are my thoughts after multiple C7's and Gen6 Camaro's running these three pads:

The Carbotech's feel the best to me, and are made in the USA, but are ridiculously priced and dust the most still of the three (still SIGNIFICANTLY less than OEM)
The Z26's are the least expensive, still feel great, and dust the least, but are made in China and have turned some rotors brown (I've seen it)
The Hawk pads have very little dust, feel in the middle of the greatness scale, are made in the USA, and are well priced. I like these pads very much too...

Carbotech being made in the USA was the selling point for me. I don’t care if they cost more than the ones made in China. Support the U.S. and not the Chinese Communist Party .

100%. This is why I have Carbotechs on my car right now... Like I said above, I've run a few types, but in the end I will be buying USA only for everything I possibly can.

That is the brand that I would buy, for that reason.
