Default 2014 Premier Edition

Does anyone know when the 2014 500 Premier Edition was built in the schedule? Were they all built at the same time? The museum had never heard of the car when I was there last month. They had to look it up in the history of the Corvette. I have number 123. Just curious. Would like to get the build sheet.

Premiere Edition Convertible # 219 here . . . I always get many compliments on the car, especially the color. Never understood the extra "E" in "Premiere", though. Oh, well.

There were two Premier Editions for the 2014 model year. A Laguna Bue coupe, and a Lime Rock Green convertible. I believe the coupe production started in late 2013, and the convertible version started in early 2014.

Which version do you have?

Never heard of it? that is kind of sad. I assume the museum would be well versed in special edition Corvettes. However you couldn't order a PE car and thus museum delivery wasn't available, so maybe that explains the blind spot.

You do bring up an interesting question... be nice to know the answer.

I had Premier Edition # 22 and if I recall the decal inside the door shows a build date of July or August 2013. I was always lead to believe that the blue coupes were the first run off the assembly line followed shortly thereafter by the green convertibles.

I have one, a Laguna Blue number 356. So far it has 11,000 miles and hoping that I will be able to get my money back out of it when I can't drive it any more. But back to the story, I got a build sheet and window sticker for it from the museum in 2016. They can provide you with one if you want it.

Its the rarest C7 color along with Midnight Race Blue. Each of these colors saw less then 2,000 examples produced.

I know green in general is not popular but I never understood why MRB didn't catch on, its a near black with a touch of blue pearl. Not my style but up close its an amazing color... under appreciated for sure.

Default Premiere Edition.

I have #113 LRG with 11K miles. Love the car especially on these windy Vermont roads.

Is there information available on the number LRG Premier Editions that were built for export to Canada?

Only 174 Z51 C7 convertibles in 2014 went to Canada... but I don't see any data on how many of those were PE cars.

The PEs were dealer showcase cars. They were allocated based on Corvette sales. So you couldn't order one, you had to buy it directly from a dealer that was approved to receive them. So the question here is: was there even a dealer in Canada that sold enough Corvettes to qualify for a PE?

I copied this from FAQ I found online somewhere...

Which dealerships will be eligible to receive and sell the 2014 Corvette Stingray Premiere Edition?
The 2014 Corvette Stingray Premiere Edition will be available to all Chevrolet dealers eligible for initial allocation of 2014 Corvette Stingray. From Tuesday, September 3, through Friday, September 20, eligible dealers can visit GMPrograminfo.com to indicate whether they desire a Premiere Edition, and if the dealer prefers the Premiere Edition in a coupe or convertible. A selection however does not guarantee award of the desired model. Once all selections are received, Chevrolet will review the selections and assign the units based on dealer’s Corvette retail sales from January 2012 through August 2013. The more retail Corvette sales, the higher the likelihood a request will be honored. The dealer will be notified of their selection prior to shipment. The Premiere Edition coupes are expected to be shipped by end of December 2013, while the convertibles are scheduled to be shipped by the end of February 2014.

Mine is a Canadian car and the window sticker shows it sold to GM Canada Oshawa (HQ) rather than a specific dealer. I know our local dealer had one in 2014 and that's when I knew I wanted one. Bought mine used 18 months ago.
Thanks for the info.

This is interesting. My 2014 Laguna Blue Vert came off the line on 11/15/2013. I picked it up at the Museum on 12/11/13. I was told all of the P.E. Verts were built before they build any of the "regular" convertibles.

That was not my understanding.

I was told that they slipped them in here and there in the regular run the second-half of the MY.

What sort of extra stuff does the P.E. provide? I wasn't familiar with that package.

When new, it came with two sets of door sills, center caps, and floor mats. It also had a five-piece Thule luggage set.

When used, who knows?

Know what you mean. I got everything except for the car cover. It's beginning to look like I'm too cheap to spend the money for one of those, even though it looks really cool.
