Covid isolation day trips
I think this isolation thing is gonna be going on for a while.
so I'm thinking of doing some nice long day trips. I don't think you'd be violating anything if you isolate yourself in your car.
I just got a a '19 GS 7M ragtop.
I just did a little day trip to Lake Cachuma north of Santa Barbara from Long Beach, Ca. 300+ miles
lovely little trip while all the hillsides are still green.
I'm already planning a turnaround to Monterey driving up the coast. Gonna be like a minnie iron butt rally. Just pull over in a pkg lot and take a nap when it gets too much.
enjoying driving the new GS and rowing my own gears.
I'm gonna be putting some miles on this car.

I break out of the Northeastern Directorate every weekend. I take the Vette and my GF on a long rides up the scenic Delaware River. And, oh the horror, I actually park the Vette and take long walks by the river and hikes in the hills. Quarantine, quarantine? I don t need no stinkin' quarantine..Presumably, you all have Vettes. Get the Hell out and drive them.

I am with you brothers! We do regular drives plus birthday drive bys. Be prepared here as a couple members will rip on us. Screw them, they have no right to tell any American you cannot leave your home. You are hurting no one, infecting no one, etc. I am seeing many sports cars out on nice days. Keep the faith, a number of states are opening up, limited on Monday.

Wife and I have been doing a weekly day trip for the last month. Yesterday was to Galveston.
I’ve also participated in several birthday parades- one had around 20 cars, the last one only 3.
Next parade is this Friday going by the local Constables office.

I regularly go on drives around our area. The only issue is getting gas at the station. Have to be careful to use sanitizer

Melting Slicks
Daughter and I got a good ride in today. Just warm enough to have the top down with some seat heat on, no bugs yet, perfect day. Pretty much little to no traffic on the back roads and to make the trip even better we saw several people sitting outside enjoying the warm weather. Nearly everyone gave us a wave as we drove by. After the eight inch snowfall we had last week it was really nice to have a sunny spring day here.

Enjoy your drives as long as you distance yourself from others.

I've put more miles on my C7 during this than I normally would, it's really helping me keep my sanity. Also the roads in the NYC metro area will never be this empty again so I have taken advantage of it.

Drifting
I'm still working, 2 days at home, and two days at the office. Been trying to take some rides when off, but the weather here sure hasn't been cooperating so far. Had a few nice days, but mostly rain and flurries mixed. Looking fwd to some nice days and the crazy MI governor easing up some of the restrictions.

On a less-epic scale, had a great 2 hour drive around MN and WI. It's amazing what it did for our spirits. Not that we were especially down, just in the numb phase. It was warm enough for top-down too. Lots of motorcycles out and about, and spotted a Lambo and a few other Vettes taking advantage of the uptick in temp!

Road trip
Last weekend did most of ‘six gaps’ in the North Georgia mountains starting Saturday morning. Was on my own cruising at a less than leisurely pace on 129 when a red C8 came out of nowhere and passed me. We diced until we got to Neals gap where pulled over. Shortly after a late model Carrera and a M3 pulled in. We all talked at a safe distance and headed out for more fun. 45 minutes later,at an intersection, came up on an electric blue C8. He joined the group.
Must have looked pretty cool with a red C8,blue C8, and my ‘19’ Sebring orange GS driving briskly on the mountain roads. Got back to Neals gap via Wolfpen gap, , Suches and back to 129.
Had to part ways since I had to get back too Jacksonville Florida {450 miles) before dark. Best time I’ve had in weeks.

I use sanitizer to protect the virus from me. My immune system will demolish the pitiful little **** head.
