What I've done in the past is fly out to Vegas the day before class, pick up a rental car and drive to Spring Mountain. Take the two day class and drive back to Vegas after the second day is thru. I spend that night in Vegas and catch the first flight back to the east coast the next morning. My out of pocket expenses are round trip air fare, rental car, one extra night at Spring Mountain, and one night at Vegas. If you stay in Vegas, shop around for a hotel. I stayed at the Excalibur. It was ok, but they don't have a shuttle bus, I had to use a taxi to get to and from the hotel, after I dropped off the rental car.

You're signing up for the C7 driver owner school. Two day class. $1000 and a total bargain. The rest of the details were covered by previous posts.

Spring Mountain is less than an hour drive from the Vegas strip, nice ride through the mountains, but watch your speed. The Track is right on the same road, I believe it's highway 160, on your right as you approach Pahrump. If you go during the summer months you get 2 nights in the condo and a 16gig SD card for the PDR I'd recommend talking to Donna and set up arrival the day before your class, you can check into the condo after about 2PM, the summer classes start at 7AM, with breakfast in the Clubhouse starting at 6AM, lunch around noon and class out at 3PM. Lots of water and energy drink to stay hydrated, you run about 45 minute sessions in the car, followed by equal classroom time and run windows up, A/C on and it's a very dry heat. For dinner I'd highly recommend Symphony Restaurant at the Pahrump Winery, it's about a 5 minute ride from the track, excellent food and Wine tastings if that's your thing, or you can pay and eat dinner at the Clubhouse, the chef there is pretty good also, but the atmosphere at Symphony is really nice and they do a LOT of Spring Mountain business. The staff at Spring Mountain is excellent, if you thought you were a pretty good driver, they will prove to you that you were definitely not, but you'll be a lot closer to that when you leave. I think you'll find that it's the best $1,000 you could spend on yourself, and you'll be thinking about when you can go back again, enjoy and good luck!

I took the class in the summer of 18. Got 2 nights at the track, great rooms. Received the 16gb plus a $50 gift card for their gift shop. Class was great and is a must do!

The Corvette Owner's School is a one size fits all and it sounds like that's what you are looking for. As posted, stay at the SM condos.. very nice accommodations close to the classroom...
Unsure how they will manage accommodations and the classes after they reopen from the COVID fiasco, but their facilities are great.
Assuming a return to semi-normal after the virus has abated, SM's processes may differ from the pre COVID days, but -

- Suggest getting into LAS the day before and driving to SM to be rested in the AM.
- If you like good food and wine, Symphony's restaurant is collocated with the Pahrump Valley Winery and is a jewel in the desert. Great food and good wines at a great price.
- Take a 16-32GB Class 10 SD card for the PDR and record the training as well as the track sessions.
- Pay attention to the speed limits and watch out for the Smokeys on the road back to LAS... The instructors remind students of that just before closing out, when the adrenaline levels may be a bit elevated
- ENJOY... it's on the short list of the best training I have received.

My wife and I went out early and rented a room in one of the off the strip resorts. Stayed there for 3 or 4 days, saw the sights around Vegas and then drove out to Spring Mountain, dropped off our luggage in the morning and then drove over to Death Valley in California, turned around and came back to check in for our first night in the Condo. Stayed two nights in the Condo while attending school. At the end of the school we drove back to Vegas and stayed at the Silverton Casino a short distance from the airport before our flight out the next morning. The Silverton is about 45 years out of date and smells strongly of cigarettes but the rooms are clean and the rate is cheap.

I agree the condos on the track are the best way to go. If they're sold out the Holiday Inn in town is pretty nice too. Best part about the holiday inn its right next to the best casino and near a bunch of restaurants.
Pahrump is really close to Death Valley National Park. If you've never been I'd recommend you spend an extra day or so and go explore that park.

Please feel free to PM or email me if you have any other questions, as well as if you want to register for an upcoming date, call the sales staff at 800-391-6891. They are all working from home during this shutdown..
I would add to the scenic drive through Death Valley national park, to also consider Valley of fire, or Red Rock canyon. Both are near Las Vegas (red rock, if you just want to drive through it, is more or less on the way towards our track), and are worth the time in my opinion.
hope to see you out here!

valley of fire-is north of las vegas...so it's a bit more out of the way.

Delayed but can't wait
I was originally scheduled for the last weekend of March. I was very disappointed but then cooler heads prevailed. As a front-line First Responder I now know this was the best thing to do. I have rescheduled for Mid July. I can't wait to get some track time and learn to drive my car to it's designed intention. In the mean time lets all Be Safe.
