GM extended bumper to bumper warranties
Im not sure about forum rules so I will only give some details. Just bought 2016 Vette, looked at all the 3rd party warranties.
Saw nightmares when people tried to get paid for service.
Got GM warranty from Dennis Fichtner at Denny Menhold Chevrolet. Several people on this forum recommended him ...
He is outstanding, will explain everything, price was reasonable and the warranty was in service the day I paid them.
I checked with my local Chevy dealer and its in the computer under my vin. P.M. me or look on forum to find his number.
I would never want to mislead anyone on this forum so here is a statement from me.
Okay I was told by a senior forum member that what I bought is NOT Bumper to Bumper and not a warranty.
At this point I am a bit confused as I know its GM registered "checked today"
But again do not want to mislead anyone here.

Just for clarification, it's not a warranty or bumper-to-bumper.

First Congratulations on your 2016 ! Regarding warranty if GMEPP depending what coverage plan you purchased such as Platinum, etc will get you more items covered as you move up plan levels. I chose Platinum plan which covers a lot but it’s still not a BTB warranty. Also there is a 30 day 1000 mile waiting period from date of purchase before plan is active. That time and mileage is added to back end of contract so you don’t lose any time or mileage. I hoping to never have to use it but If the need should come it’s there for me. Peace of mind thing.
I have not put claim in with this warranty, but have with the old GM Extended warranty and had no problems at all. Enjoy your Corvette!!

The other member is right in that the GMEPP is not a true bumper to bumper warranty, but it does cover one heck of a lot of parts on the car. Your warranty paperwork should explain what is and is not covered.

Ok I miss out on couple months of my 7 year 56k mileage warranty but I still have no gap in coverage . I will have my 1000 miles completed before my BTB expires and GMEPP go active. But the savings buying while still in BTB warranty was worth missing out on 2 months.

The GMEPP has already covered more in repairs than I paid for the plan. $700+ for replacement of driver's seat lumbar and side bolster inflation system, $1839 to replace the passenger side turn signal which actually required complete replacement of the headlamp assembly.

Could have purchased with one month remaining and only lost one month. I missed out on several months since Dennis was selling the plan at a lower price for a short while and purchased with 5 months remaining on the factory B2B instead of waiting to one month left.

Bill , Yes I could of waited till one month left but was concerned I wouldn’t get mileage requirement completed before BTB expires and didn’t want to have gap in coverage. So like you found price was worth giving up a couple months. Price I got from Todd Sutherland at MacMuklin was a no brainer.

Well, I guess the Fat Lady sang. I called the GM customer service number listed in the Owner's Manual. I was assigned a case number and told a specialist would review my complaint and respond.
Today the specialist and I connected. No joy. Warranties don't cover fluid changes and my GM loyalty (18 GM vehicles some used but most new since 1970) carries no weight. So, alas, I must suck it up. I'll take my whining to the Dealership management in person and politely vent. I'm resigned to the outcome. Sucks to be me. Wa wa wa wa!

Regardless, your dealer screwed you, not GMEPP. You need to get the GM area rep involved. The bulletin clearly gives a unique warranty labor operation code that works with Powertrain coverage.
Add me to the list on your other thread of people who had this done under Powertrain, albeit with a 2016 GMC, not a vette.

GMEPP or any like or similar programs are not warranties. They are service contracts. That being stated, I have the GMEPP Platinum contract purchased from Dennis, also. But it is not a warranty.

There are huge differences in price for the GM Platinum plan because of months/miles already on the car, months/miles of coverage purchased, deductible ($0 or $100), etc.
Get quotes from Dennis and some other reputable dealer for your options, then compare.
Make sure they are selling you the "Chevrolet Protection Plan, Platinum", if you want a valid comparison. Ally plan paperwork looks very similar and is a little cheaper, but didn't cover mag ride shocks last time I looked.
