Went to the Owner's manual to be sure on my oil stuff.
Viscosity Grade
SAE 5W-30 is the best viscosity
grade for the vehicle. Do not use
other viscosity grade oils such as
SAE 10W-30, 10W-40, or 20W-50.
For track events or competitive
driving, use Mobil 1® 15W-50
engine oil. An instrument cluster
warning light will be illuminated at
high oil temperatures. See Driver
Information Center (DIC) on
page 5-23.
Cold Temperature Operation: In an
area of extreme cold, where the
temperature falls below −29°C
(−20°F), an SAE 0W-30 oil may be
used. An oil of this viscosity grade
will provide easier cold starting for
the engine at extremely low
temperatures. When selecting an oil
of the appropriate viscosity grade,
always select an oil of the correct
specification. See “Specification”
earlier in this section for more
information.

#22 - My error in typing - Correct that it should be written 0W-40.
In addition, while not debating with Elmer regarding the owners manual recommendation on 2014 to 2018 of 5W-30 for the street & 15W-50 for the track, GM did start using the 0W-40 for 2019 & recommend this for both street & track use unless you have a ZR1. Should specify that the 0W-40 M1 oil is the ESP oil.

All 2019 C7 Corvettes will be factory-filled with Mobil 1 0W-40 synthetic motor oil, which may not seem like a big deal, but it is. The oil blend is rated for street and track use, which will keep owners from changing oil every time they plan on taking their Corvette to a track event.
Previous C7 Corvettes were filled with 5W-30, but Mobil 1’s 15W-50 was recommended for track events.
However, 2019 C7 Corvette ZR1 owners will still want to keep 15W-50 on hand. The 0W-40 label still recommends the track-use oil for the 6.2-liter supercharged LT5 V8 engine for maximum track performance."

I agree. What's nice about it, as well as the ones that are a "cap" that can accept a torque wrench, is that the "pliers" type of wrench can't be torqued to a specific force. While not a huge deal (sure, "3/4 turn after contact" works too) some of us like to dial in the torque on the oil filter.

This is now my go-to filter wrench amongst five other different tools in the box. The only one that would remove a filter that had been super-stuck and defeated everything else I had. I've never had trouble with a filter I've installed, but on a friends vehicle someone went to town on it when they put it on and this was the only one that would remove it after we mangled it somewhat with other tools and 'techniques'. I now just reach for this every time. Not for those who may want to re-use the filter (I've seen it done, but why?)
Referencing the OP's question, the C5/6/7 filters are easy to remove and install.
