Congratulations on your new Corvette. I also bought my Corvette from VanBortel . In 17 I traded in a 2004 and bought my 17 GS . My dealings with them were great !! I did my deal over phone. Sent / emailed pictures of 2004. It was Feb / March and also wasn’t going to get car out of storage and drive in snow and ice just to get value of trade . They gave me a great trade value just by viewing pictures in email. I ordered my GS . When 17 came in in June I drove my 04 to dealership and drove home in 17. This purchase was the smoothest purchase of a vehicle I ever did!
They have a great Corvette show in summer I’m about 1 1/2 hours away and we’ll worth the drive.
Went to the show last summer too, I'm about the same distance, just a run up the Thruway from the Syracuse area. Blade Silver for me too!
I have purchased 2 vettes from Matt, the second one being my C7 about a month ago and they were both the most painless deals I've ever done with any vehicle. Matt and Van Bortel are just beyond fantastic! So many gorgeous vettes, low pressure, and they know these cars as well as anyone. They treat you like family, not like another sale. Matt also treats my 12 year old son wonderfully! They are equally as good after the sale if you need something or have a problem. Glad you had the same experience as I have there. I'm definitely not surprised you did!

Again if your 1 1/2 - 2 hours away you might find time well spent for a dealership with great service and knowledgeable Corvette techs. Worth it to me! I get a nice 1 1/2 hour ride . While service is being done use shuttle to go to and get picked up at Corvette show room . Always great at looking at all the new and used Corvettes! Enjoy your Corvette ! Dave

Wish I could help with that, but I'm about 1.5 hours south of them in NY. I have found it's definitely important to find a really good dealer for service on Vettes. Alot of them will say they have Corvette techs, but it seems they're just techs who have had a little extra training to be able to say that, not real Corvette techs. Hopefully someone can help you find a good one closer to you. I wouldn't hesitate to call Matt or their service department if you need help with something though. They may be able to help somehow even being so far away. I would also definitely agree it's worth a road trip to the Van Bortel Corvette show. Tons of cars, food, music and really nice people. My son even got to dunk Matt in a dunk tank a couple years ago! It's really like a big family party!
Congrats on the Vette purchase. I bought my first Vette from Turner Automotive in Victor, NY back in 2010. They specialized in selling used Vettes and I think Van Bortel bought them. I think its where their Corvette shop is now? Anyway I'm from by Cooperstown and would love to meet up with Vettes from around who will be traveling to any Van Bortel happenings. Anybody is welcome for to stop at my place for a quick drink and a car wash. Baseball Hall Of Fame is like 15 minutes from my place. Hell my parents have a nice camp to rent on Canadarago Lake if anyone is interested?

They are huge Corvette enthusiasts, support local enthusiasts and support racers. The eat, sleep and breathe Corvettes and are one of the most knowledgeable dealerships I am aware of when it comes to Corvettes. At any given moment there is anywhere from 80-100 Corvettes from all generations at their shop.
Ill say one thing , ive always enjoyed this forum for support , info and the knowledge ive gained from its members, but the icing on the cake was the purchase i made with Matt and Van Bortel through this forum ! Kitty Van Bortel certainly hit the jackpot with the staff she has there .
