I run Power Stop Z23 on my Z51. There are countless brake pad threads around here, just brace yourself for high levels of FUD.

FIWI, my buddy with a Z51 C7 got fed up with the brake dust and replaced his pads with Power Stop Z26 and has been ecstatic with the newfound cleanliness of his chrome wheels...

Tried the Carbotech a few years ago....
Squeeeeeled like a freight train on emergency stop....
Took them off the same day I put them on...

Hawke brake pads were the answer....

My Carbotechs don't make any noise at all, and I lost nothing as far as breaking power. I just lost the dust issue.

When asked why the C8 Z51 did not have slotted rotors, the answer was that copper had to be removed and the replacement material did not like the slotted surface. Can anyone else add to this as to fact or fiction

Have had both the Carbotech’s and PowerStop’s.
The PowerStop’s significantly reduced dust, but stopping power in my experience was reduced as compared to OEM. Some folks reported stained rotors, but I didn’t have that issue. No squeaks or squeal noises.
The Carbotech’s significantly reduced dust and stopping power was equal to or better than OEM. No squeaks or squeal issues.
I prefer the Carbotech’’s despite their cost approx 3X the PowerStops.

I have the 1521s and love them.

I wish I had done it sooner, because the dust is so much less than OE ( Z51). Stopping power is as good or better, IMO.

I just put a set of PowerStop Z26 on my Z51. Cheap at around on $130 from Amazon. Stopping power seems to be the same as OEM.
