Sure, you can bet on anything but you don't always win bets. Since you want a cheap C7 you might have a wee bit of incentive to encourage C7 owners to dump their car now, lol.

rwdonly ,well im guessing I am going out on a limb here ,and I might be wrong ,its just that when the new generation comes out ,then the last one will drop in price,I see that some of the bigger dealers are selling the base corvette now for right around the forty six thousand mark ,Im retired so I kinda need to watch my money , so I can only spend around thirty five G for the C7 ,and I wont sell my old 72!!!

For the reasons that I posted in post #28 in this thread, my bet is that the C8 isn't going to impact pricing of the used C7 market nearly as much as you are hoping for. The $46k base model Vettes that you are seeing are often dependent on rebates that not everybody qualifies for and according to others on this forum these prices were available off and on before... so it isn't some sudden fire sale because of the upcoming C8 that won't be available for sale on dealer lots any time soon. Good luck in your search, you'll find the right car eventually.

I agree with this sentiment. I drove to upstate NY this past weekend to pick up a 2019 1LT convertible with 1650 miles on it. It had summer performance tires on it and they couldn’t even sell it at auction this time of year. They tried. I got a smoking deal for it. I trailered my 2019 Subaru up there for trade on a U-haul trailer and trailered the Vette back. Totally worth it for $180.

I couldn’t have touched a 2019 locally for the price I paid. I tried, and it wasn’t even a convertible.

Have you tried Sewell's? They seem to be a very good dealer.

That is a very good deal. I can get $34K from the GMC dealer to buy a Sierra. But it is like pulling teeth.

$29K is too low for sure. But I would think you are looking at $32-33K at the most. Car will be listed for probably $38-39K and that leaves room for any refurb. You might get $38K to a private party but that might take 4 weeks or 4 months. Hard to know. Tough time of year to sell a car period.
