Default New use for the cigarette lighter space

Good Morning, has anyone found a new use for the cigarette lighter space? I will never use it.

Thanks

I purchased a duel, flush mount USB adapter (it will still close with the flush mount adapter), so now on long trips my wife has a place to charge her phone and iPad.

I use it to hold my cell phone. I got a magnetic cell phone holder (normally used for holding to vents) and attached it to the lid of the compartment. Then I got a usb adapter for the socket. Not my idea, I got if from this site.

It's interesting that just as everyone is finally going to devices that mostly charge from a USB port, GM gets serious about ordinary power ports.
I use both, so it's a tossup for me, but ...

Cool idea. I found an amazon link for the emergency window breaker/USB:
