Default 3 year warranty almost up - what to check?

My 2017 Z06 only has a couple weeks left on the three-year/36,000 mile warranty. Any suggestions on things to check or inspect on the car? I am going to take it to a good local dealer and have the Corvette tech take a look at it also but I don’t expect him to actually find anything. Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated.

Get the extended warranty if you don't have it, do it now.

I agree with the above two posters. IMO, I wouldn't own one of these cars without a warranty. I like to sleep at night.

Not to hijack, but can you share Ken's contact info? My 2017 warranty will expire in the next few months too...

You have your answer. If the car is running great an inspection will likely yield nothing. Get the extended warranty as long if you plan on keeping it. I picked up an extended warranty on my 2014 a couple of months ago through MacMulkin. The price was fantastic and a complete no brainer for these cars.

How even is the wear on inside of the tires?

Inspect wheels for cracks & check their runout.

Hi...I'm not going to pretend to know anything about the Z06 specifically...I'm on my 3rd Vette...first brand new 2019 M7 that I got 6 weeks ago. My last 2 I had for 15 years each (78 and 98) and both I bought at age 6, so no warranties involved. My overall philosophy is to self insure...I didn't get an extended warranty for the C7 nor for our 2 family vehicles (Subaru's) that we bought over the past 3 years. Nor any before that. Yes we've had the odd repair during the time that an extended warranty would've covered it, but overall it's been less than we would've paid for the warranty costs. Do the same with appliances & electronics. However, we have friends who feel much more comfortable having this protection and are happy to pay for it. I think you can argue both sides of this. Good luck!

I would agree about getting a warranty before the old one is up. There are a number of dealers here on the forum that offer good prices on a warranty so check around and see what you can get.

My 5 year power train warranty will still be in effect, but the 3 year bumper to bumper is what’s running out. What kind of catastrophic issues are you guys seeing that necessitate an extended warranty?

FWIW....One of neighbors is a Chevy tech.He says the mechanical stuff is normally good on these machines....but it's the electronics that give the most trouble and are expensive to R&R.
I'll be getting an extended warranty soon.

Besides Ken...who else is recommended for the GMEPP?

A month or two before the 3/36 are about to expire or its just over lapping. As far as to who to use Dennis or Todd
if you like paying 30-50% more Dennis is your man (I went with Todd)

Read your extended. If you still have time left on your 5 and 50? Your extended may only cover what your 5 and 50 does.So no big panic,Yet
I doubt your everything is covered to match your original 3 and 36.I could be wrong?
