Default How long does it last?

I’m going on about 6 weeks with my Vette and every time I see it I get a little giddy thinking I can’t believe it’s actually mine. it keeps looking better and better. I hope it never gets old. Anyone experience something similar with your first Vette? How long did it last?

Shoot, I'm probably in the minority for longer term Vette owners, but I still feel that way when I look at my old '82 ( had since 1992) AND the new 2019. I even miss the '94 and 2011 I had when I see old pictures. No, it is normal and you are OK I believe.

I think it has a lot to do with how offen and how much you drive your C7, but for me, I'm on my 6th season (with about 4 weeks left) and I'm at 8700 miles. I still love to drive mine and row the boat as much today as I did when I picked it up on May 2, 2014.

I drove my first one (‘93 M6) that much per YEAR (DD) and it NEVER got old. I could not help doing the “lookback” and really enjoyed driving it around town and on road trips. I will admit that after a few years (and an odometer reading 125K) I got the itch to get a C5 — but if I “had” to DD a ‘93 C4 today I’d still be excited — that’s how much your first Vette can get into your system...

Congrats, OP.

My first Vette was a '76 that I had for 26 years and I always like driving it, so 26 years. It took the C7 to get me to upgrade.

I bought my first when I was 29, and have been dailying them ever since (on number 7 now). That is a lot of trips back and forth over many, many years.

I can safely say that it never goes away. I'm very blessed to have this car, and still get quite giddy over it haha!

I have this on the C7:

Well it hasn't given up the thrill.

The last half million miles total on Vettes hasn't either.

Dang, they are fun and stylish.

And affordable.

Bought my first Corvette in 1972 when I got out of the service. A '63 fuel injected convertible with side pipes and knock off wheels. Paid $3,200 for it used. 8 Corvettes later, I wish I had that '63 today.

No, not with any of my Vettes, but yes with something else from a long, long time ago... which I still have over half a century later.

Regardless of which of the ten Corvettes I have owned, I feel very fortunate to have been able to afford and enjoyed every one of them. I do not recall a time when I have regretted a purchase and they always put a smile on my face.

Default Thrill

My wife and I are in out 70's. She drives a 2014 C7, I have a 2017 ZO6. Over time, we have owned 7 or 8 Vettes.
The thrill NEVER goes away, and we hope it never does! It will last forever!
