Acetone is perfectly safe for factory or body shop paint/clearcoat. I've been using it for over 20 years on both with no ill effects.

It is NOT safe for touch-up paint, rattle-can paint, decals, or wraps. One needs to understand which surface it is being used on, but a blanket statement that it shouldn't be used is made from ignorance.

Im shocked no one asked - why the heck are you putting stickers on your Vette for?

As stated above - M205 first (with a buffer) and if after 2 or 3 times you still see it, then move up to M105 (but just go slow and dont buff too long in one spot - keep it moving).

Hope you get that shine back soon!
Scratches were caused by a kitchen cleaning pad. What's M205 and M105? Thanks.

M205 and M105 are Meguiar's products and are polishing compounds.

The scratches from a kitchen cleaning pad should be able to removed, but it will take a bit of time. You need a good random orbital buffer to do the work.

Here you go:

Use first - M205:

Use only if 205 doesn't work - M105:
https://www.amazon.com/Meguiars-Mirror-Glaze-Ultra-Cut-Compound/dp/B001O7PNW8/ref=sr_1_11?keywords=M205&qid=1569239805&s=gateway&sr=8-11 https://www.amazon.com/Meguiars-Mirror-Glaze-Ultra-Cut-Compound/dp/B001O7PNW8/ref=sr_1_11?keywords=M205&qid=1569239805&s=gateway&sr=8-11

So, a forum member on here, NearMiss, which I now understand his screen name, told me to bring it by his place and he'd take a look at it. I thought that was very nice and today took it to him. He spent about 2 hours working on my paint and it is nothing short of miraculous. The is guy amazing, and him and his wife are real nice folks. Here is an after photo. Take a look at the before photo in post #34. Thanks, buddy! You rock!
