The ratios are close, I usually skip gears unless I'm driving hard.

If just cruising around from a stop it is usually 1-3-5-6-7 or if rolling 2-4-5-6-7. The gap from 4-6 is pretty big if you are shifting at under 2,000 rpms. When I am in no hurry, I usually shift between 1,400-1,600 rpm.

1-2-3-4 I try not to use 5 unless I am really moving. I enjoy the response in 4th much better than 5th at highway speeds and I don’t care at all about gas mileage.

Unless I make a mistake I go 1-2 not 1-3. I hardly ever use 7th gear....unless go at least 80 and the Highway is clear. I find it to difficult to down shift from there. Perhaps, just thought of this instead of going from 7th to 6 I should just go 7 to 5..

My C7 is an automatic but in my C6 if I was just puttering around town I always used the 1-3-5 shift. Easier of the throw out bearing and shifts were smoother.

I try to use gears consecutively but miss sometimes, usually on the down shift. I've tried to concentrate on keeping my arm in line with the shifter which helps. My biggest issue is downshifting and missing the target gear. Rev matching makes it an exciting experience though.

If jumping on the highway I'll sometimes run the revs up in 4th then skip directly to 7th to cruise. I never skip when downshifting.

When I first got my C7, I did all gears in order. Now, mostly I do 1-3-4-5. If I need to get into a bit, 1-2-3-4. I only recently started using 7th, and even at that, I have to be into the 70s.
I've tried 2-4-6 but didn't like it. Seemed to be too sluggish.
