Dang. So am I'm correct in guessing that the factory outer bezel does not get used again? I prefer my body color vs the black but the tail lights are great. Mine will be here late Nov/early December. I didn't know it would be s involved, but oh well. Do you happen to know if the stage 3 spoiler will have to be removed? I also have an APR diffuser / rear bumper so now I'm thinking 'great that's gonna have to come off too?"

The factory bezels do not get reused. Both the wing and diffuser should not need to be removed to install the tail lights if they are installed in an oem fashion. If you chose to remove the rear bumper they should come off as one assembly. Otherwise, you can detach the sides and the top while leave the remaining portion of the bumper attached which should give you enough room to work behind the bumper.
Thank you for catching that before I did.
Loosening the bumper and leaving it attached at the bottom is the minimal removal needed but it does make for a more difficult time performing the swap. Removing the bumper entirely is only a few more screws away and will make life easier all in all.
