2019 Grand Sport - 3 bent wheels at 4,500 miles
One more in the long line of bent wheel threads. I bought a 2019 Grand Sport and in 4500 miles I have bent 3 wheels. No major incidents. I’m now scared to drive this car.
What are my options other than: a) selling it, b) buying new wheels for $6000+?
Has there been any acknowledgement at all from Chevy?

That's unfortunate and I would be a bit apprehensive to drive but my remedy would be to buy forged wheels. Not cheap but it is doubtful GM will be doing anything for us. They have moved on to the C8.

It is a shame that there are as many wheel problems happening. Perhaps the best solution is to just buy some forged wheels.

My 2 cents - get the wheels replaced under warranty if you can.
Sell the wheels
Roll the money from the stock wheels into new ones
By some Stance flow forged or VS forged wheels at a fraction of what others are charging
Save 3-4k
I have had my Stance wheels on my car now for a few thousand miles... LOVE them and I drive the crap out of my car and not gingerly either.
Read my post here, I am all about sharing my experiences with good vendors/manufactures with others.
Shameless pictures below of the SF01s on my car.

GM will not acknowledge this is an issue due to the cost and potential liability. I'm close to 6k miles on my 2019GS and so far no issues that I am aware of. A couple of potholes shook me pretty good but I seem to have survived them. It sucks that it's a constant worry every time I drive the car.

Just returned from the dealer after having them complete the steering recall on my 2017 GS. I asked them to check the balance on the wheels because I felt a faint "thumping" when driving at highway speeds. Anyway, they told me that I had three bent wheels and a cracked L/R wheel. To say I was upset is an understatement. I drive the car to Florida on Route 95 (No potholes) and around Florida while I'm there. My driving in NJ is primarily highway miles. I've had the car two years and have about 13,000 miles on it.
Based on experience with my sedan, having a bent wheel doesn't compromise safety but I don't know about having a cracked wheel. I'm going to search this forum to see if there is a claim against GM that I can join. I know that I'll probably be in a walker before any lawsuit is adjudicated, so I'm probably going to buy one rim and change the tires to Michelin All seasons until I sell the car in a year or two when I'll be in the market for a C8.

the new c8 uses cast wheels as well. Sine these tires are not as wide it could be interesting. as anyone with a GS instead of new rims change to non run flat tires?

I would go with replicas if just street driving. Rumor is these guys are forum members and good to deal with. Replicas are stronger but heavier as well.

Just found out one of my front wheels is bent. I noticed a slight vibration the first time I drove it after my GF did. I asked her what she hit and of course she didn’t hit anything at all. Well I thought it could have been the road but took it to Goodyear today and they said it’s AFU!
Anyone know if it can be straightened out?

You can find nice wheels without having to fork out big money for fully forged wheels. These are "Flow Formed", stronger and lighter than OEM for less money. They are Vorsteiner FF-103 in Carbon Graphite. It also help to get away from the ZP tires as the damn side walls are simply too stiff and contribute to bent wheels. This set was less the $2400 shipped and I get compliments on them all the time and in my opnion, they look better than any of the factory wheels. And yes, they fit the C7 GS/Z's. Just a reasonable suggestion.

First of all, my sincere condolences to all of those who have suffered and will suffer from cracked/bent wheels on their babies. As for me I was going to buy a new GS. But, all these threads scared the $#!@ out of me. So, I ordered a new Z51 and called it a day. Hopefully, some type of satisfactory resolution, whatever that may be, comes your way.

I had 3 bent wheels and didn't feel a thing. I've heard from others that never felt anything either. I wasn't able to see the wheel was bent by lifting the car and spinning the wheel. A very easy way to see if it's bent is to take it to a tire place and simply spin it up on the spin balancer. If it's bent (even a small amount as mine were) you'll clearly see it while it's spinning.

Has anyone been able to get a warranty replacement (without the tire and wheel package) or had it replaced by insurance?
I would consider aftermarket wheels, but it’s a 2017 and I really like the look of the factory GS wheels.

I had to replace my wheels and I got 4 OEM size glossy black Stance Wheels from https://pkautodesign.com/. Paul is the business owner and is a absolute professional. You will get spline lugs for free along with balancing and they let me ship the tire rack tires to their store for mounting. Stance is reasonable around 2800 ish.
TBH, I think anything BUT OEM does not crack on this car. This is a crappy GM thing.
