How much will it drop if I keep it?

On average, around $3.2k per year. This number might be temporarily increased due to the introduction of the C8.

Moreover, the forecast predicts that the value decrease for a 2014 car will be minimal. You can check out all the result and numbers in the video below. Let me know if you have any questions.

For those of you interested, I also made an analysis which shows how much you can expect to lose on a C8 per year and per 1000 miles driven. The depreciation rates of the C6 and C7 were used to get to the results:

It's still a bad *** 460hp/650hp car. It may lose more value today, but it will slow down faster and probably be about what ever other previous generation car is worth 2 years into the new generation in 2 years.

I'll be enjoying mine until the C8 Z06 comes out.

I'm in the Market for my first Vette. I just sign up to this forum so i can start research and i'm Going to get a c7 in June 2020 I love the c7. I've see you had the c7 Stingray and have now the GS. Those are my 2 options. Can I ask you a general opinion and compare the 2 cars? I'm From Italy but living in USA and always wanted a Vette and finally my dream will come true. I hope I didn't disturb you or bug you with this message and I'm looking forward to hear your personal opinion. Sincerely Gianni
p.s.
if anyone want to tell me their opinion i'm all ears.

This thread is always interesting. If you own a C7 Z06 you surely are going to talk about it going up in value because you do not want to lose a lot of money on it. If you don’t and are looking at a C8 you don’t care what it does. The bottom line is there is pro’s and cons on both thoughts. Me personally believe that once the C8 is on the road physically the prices on the C7 are going to drop significantly. The only way it doesn’t is if the C8 has a lot of growing pains and God knows the avid C7 owners will look for every flaw that comes out on the C8 to hope for there value to stay high.

As a few have said, enjoy your C7 and stop worrying what the C8 will do to it’s value. It will be worth what someone is willing to pay for it and nothing more. All vette’s lose depreciation, it’s common knowledge. If you bought it for an investment, shame on you. Owning a Vette is a great experience. Just enjoy it.

I would imagine M7 owners’ cars may retain their value better, if they are patient and hold strong to their asking price when they go to sell their cars.
