Default Who uses the seat belt guide on top of seat?

Who uses the seat belt guide on top of seat? I noticed the seat belt works better when NOT in the guide. I never used the guide in my C6 either.

I have not been using the guide - seat belt works just fine for me without it.

In the owners manual it states that the guide is to be used for shorter people to keep the belt aligned properly across the body. If you are of average height, no need for the guide.

Exactly. Another issue resolved by the manual.

I'm 5'6" and I use it, along with the aftermarket clip to hold the belt in the guide.

It works great.

I didn't use it when I had a late model Vette.

Interesting, a seat belt guide only for short people. I missed that in the manual.

I use it. Not a problem for me. Comfortable, and does not come out of guide, as some have complained about. I'm 6'2".

I am 6'2" and use the guide in my convertible. I keep it in place using shrink wrap. I think the attachment is different in the coupe and there may be no benefit.

I'm 6 foot even and found the guide with the clip added to be very helpful and more comfortable. I noticed lots of scratches to the plastic just behind the door next to the seat & below the rear quarter window - I believe this is from the belt smacking that area as you get out of the car without the clip.

I don’t use the guide and it works fine. The belt always comes out of the guide anyway so why use something that doesn’t make a positive difference.

If you have a vert and don’t use it the tongue beats the crap out or the plastic trim when it gets jammed when closing the door. (From personal experience) so I also locked the seatbelt in with heat shrink. I'm 6'.

6'2 here and never use it. Too tight with it in there and makes it cumbersome.

I agree. 6' here and when I tried to use the guide, it was tight and didn't move freely.

Yep, it's more of a necessity to use them on convertibles. The location of the belt is different than coupes.
