Default Quick question on factory warranty X-pipe

Quick question folks, would adding after market X-pipe void the factory warranty?
Thanks for your input.

Adding a x-pipe does not void your warranty. I am looking to do it myself as they say it makes the exhaust a little louder.

No, adding an after market x-pipe will not void your warranty.

No. Did mine about a year ago on my 17Z. One of the best mods you can do while keeping warranty 👍🏻

I find that it wouldn’t void the warranty very surprising. I would think GM would use any excuse to void the warranty. I know it’s not legal here in the people’s republic of California because it’s tampering with the emissions system.

There is zero damage removing the secondary cats can do. It’s basically for sound. The only reason it’s an emission issue is they help the main cats reduce emissions at start up while they heat up. California emissions suck as we all know. Here in Oregon we are catching up though.

If it weren’t for cost, warranty, emission and resale value issues. I would get cold air induction, port throttle body, long tube headers, catless X pipe, and a Dyno tune.

Fortunately the cars are pretty good stock and those aren’t necessary. They only bump the enjoyment up a bit more 👍🏻
