Accuracy of GM projected production date
My new C7 vert order just received a projected production date of July 15. Does anyone have experience with the accuracy of such dates ?
Thanks

My experience with ordering 2 different C7s is that the TPW you receive is pretty accurate

That date is the TPW or tentative production week. That means they expect the car to be built in the week beginning that day. That being said, my wife’s ‘14 was built on the Thursday prior to the TPW.

I would expect the estimate to be REALLY accurate.... I ordered a new 1975 vette in 1975... and it was close then!! Guessing things a a bit more buttoned down now
With all the new and non current vettes around.. could you have done better buying an exsisting car? either way.. very exciting for you.. enjoy!!

I am the Corvette manager at a Chevrolet dealership and the last 5 sold ordered cars were built and delivered in 30 days. One good thing about being a dealer in Pennsylvania is our cars are shipped on a truck from the plant and arrive in two days.
