Consider the C2 is now one of the most desireable due to this as one of the factors.....15-20 yrs could that make C7 prices firm....stay tuned.

It's funny.. the C2 and C7 are my favorite gens.. C3 was a favorite growing up in the 70's, so it still has a special spot but It's not one I love to see as much anymore.
Agree with triple black, way too many made to be collectible, unless you're zr1 owner.
Doesn't matter, I plan on driving mine.

It is sad and a little strange. This is the only Corvette whose design I loved right out of the gate and its the pinnacle of front engine, RWD, v8, stick shift sports cars.

The C4 was by far the ugliest of them all and was around the longest. That car turned me off to Corvettes and the C5 got me back into them. The C6 was even better and the C7 I had to have.

It's too bad about the C7. Best car I have ever owned, and I have had some good ones. I have over 95,000 on this one. My other cars were usually money pits at that point. This one has only had a belt tensioner pulley replaced. And, although I drive it fast and hard, the brake pads still have plenty of life left in them. Best looks and performance of all time! I hope the C8 does as well, or better.

I believe that the C7 was a hit and a fantastic car. The short run, in my opinion, is more to due with the ever changing industry. The reality is GM (or any manufacturer) can no longer sit back on their successes. Things are moving rapidly and large changes are coming and I like seeing GM being a bit more proactive.

How about the 2018 C7? Shortest model year run?
In what was one of the shortest model years, a total of 9,686 Corvettes were produced. Production started June 5, 2017 and ends January 28, 2018. The plant was down for three months, making the 2018 model year approximately 5 months.
