I have read that it can include both the double sided tape and screws, etc.

I removed mine as well. It’s attached w/OEM screws and 10 rivets, but no tape.

I believe 1/8”, maybe a little larger, but smaller than 1/4”. I didn’t drill all the way through the rivets. Just enough to separate... Here’s what they look like when removed:

^^^ I used the push type retainers pictured above in replacement of the rivets, along with the OEM screws, when installing my ACS Stage 3. Two years and still solid

I’m installing an RPI Z06 splitter to replace the poverty splitter on my GS. Assuming with the rivets removed, no extra hole drilling?
Appreciate the help...

They look like it should unscrew, but I have no experience with them. Is drilling the only way to get them off? Is that what holds the stock poverty splitter on?

If ur gonna use the push pins to replace the rivets then yes you will have to enlarge the holes.
‘You can stick ur hand up in there to remove the remnants of the old rivets.
As for all the holes lining up.....for the most part.
‘Rather than replacement rivets and push pins, I used bolts for the outer ones. Only the 2 in the center did I use new aluminum rivets, along with the factory screws.
A 1/8” drill will pop those heads off easily

Edit: Be sure to collect all of the end pieces above the splitter as they might find their way into your tires.

Thanks for all the input. I ended up using rivets again - in addition to the factory bolts - instead of the plastic “scrivets” as some have utilized. I simply felt more comfortable going with aluminum rivets. The poverty splitter was easy to take off, using a 1/8 drill bit to get the existing rivets off. The new RPI splitter went on pretty easily - had to enlarge one of the splitters mounting holes where in connects with the spat to get the factory bolt aligned.
