Decent deal

Decent deal
I found a new 2018 stingray convertible for sale. The msrp is $66k and the selling price is $56k. It has all of the equipment I want except the better 2lt seats. Thoughts?

Good enough deal if you can live without the 2lt seats, etc. I am sure others will chime in on better deals but I would be a buyer on this one. I am not one for chasing the so called ultimate deal that many seem to find.

Go to the BIG dealers online and compare with their offerings/prices. I found they define "deals" most of the time, and when I was buying made the others sputter, if they managed to say anything at all. One local salesman almost cried when he called me back and found I'd purchased from Kerbeck's and I related the price.

Sounds like a good deal to me, but there are also '19's out there that can be had for good deals also. It depends on if this is "the Corvette" you've been looking for, i.e. right color, trans, etc. Good luck.
Remember, a 2018, even if it's new, is still a year old when you drive it off the lot.
Ask for Mike Furman.

That's a reasonable discount on this car, if you are happy, that's all that really counts

The price was without tax. Also, it is about 900 miles away. I think I am going to pass. Dealer keeps saying he is losing $900 on the car and won’t budge. He also
has a few new 2017 that are priced high compared to what I have seen on this forum. As someone pointed out, it is not my dream corvette as it is missing a few options I would like.
Thank You all for your comments!

Yes, 15% off is a decent deal especially for a convertible. You can typically always find a lower price, however it's more about finding the color-combo and features you want at a good price that's more important to me. Sounds like you have done that with the exception of the seats.
The 1LT and 2LT GT seats are the same per se, except the 2LT have electric lumbar/bolster adjustment and memory. Good luck in your search.

"I wish I would-a" is absolutely not the way you want to start out buying a Vette...regardless of the price. Are you opposed to buying USED? Owners of C7's barely drive them, so it's super easy to find one with under 10k miles. You probably could get a fully loaded 17 for a lot less than that new, lesser optioned 18 you are looking at...

My advise is go ask what the big 3 Corvette dealers are offering, Criswell, McMulkin and Kerbeck. You will be surprised how much better deal you can get than your local dealer... in my case I flew to NH to get mine! It saved me a good 12k! from the best offer my local dealer offered. It may save you a pretty penny and you may even get a 2019 for the same price! Good luck! I hope you haven't pulled the trigger yet!
I also agree with the comments above don't settle for the car features you don't want. I didn't settle, I looked for EVERYTHING that I wanted, it took me about 2 months to find the exact car I wanted at a great price! Don't settle get EXACTLY the car you want, if the car is missing one key requirement don't pull the trigger, it's not the right deal. Go to the big 3 dealers, they may have exactly what you are looking for in a 2019, and at a better deal! Good luck!

I'd not buy ANY C7, that wasn't at least a 2LT. Too much good stuff on the 2LT/3LTs!! More, is better!!
