Question about Carbon Flash on hood and roof?
Are these decals? I am in the market for a C7. I like the look of the white with the carbon fiber accents. I was just wondering if it would be the same if I bought one without the carbon fiber and just added it separately?

Carbon Fiber and Carbon Flash are two entirely different things. Exposed carbon fiber is a polymer material that has a weave pattern. Carbon Flash is simply black metallic paint.

The factory options are an exposed carbon fiber roof panel with painted side “spears” and exposed carbon fiber hood panel. The roof and hood of all C7’s are carbon fiber. The optional exposed carbon fiber is a thin layer of show quality carbon fiber bonded to the hood and or roof. They are not vinyl stickers. Hope that explains it.
And as Zymurgy pointed out carbon flash is metallic black paint.

The Carbon Flash "Stinger" on the hood is a sticker where most other Carbon Flash parts such as intakes, ducts, grille, bumper, etc, are painted. As mentioned above this is totally different from the real CF material which is normally listed as "exposed" or "visible" Carbon Fiber on the window sticker.

Yep. My 14 Z51 had the exposed Carbon Fiber dash and top. The stinger and the mirrors, and spoiler were carbon flash.
My 18 GS has exposed carbon fiber top, hood, spoiler and areo package with carbon flash mirrors.
