Not much help... since I am Not German, and I still dont get it.... I dont think anyone is embarrassed by a plate they thought long and hard and paid the money to have it made to put it on their car....

OK.... I got the reference now... being embarrassed for someone elses choice. Even if THAT person is not.... If I dont understand something,, its important for me to " Get it " .. so Ill keep going until I get it... When I was teaching 5th year engineering students, I had the ability to see when certain students would get the theory.. ( like a light bulb went off in their head )
