Default C7 Brake Pads...sorry again. Good ones

It's time, very fast, I have about 17,000 miles on my daily driver 2017 GSCE, light is coming on, I've added 1/4" of fluid, Now it's time I guess...…..I don't do it myself, brakes are too critical with 3,300 lbs and 460 HP pushing it.
Ceramic, OEM, what say all. Albany NY installer ???
I'm ready to put her to bed for 3 months. Any help?

If you are going to put her away for 3months, you should buy the pads and install them after the winter weather has gone.

Another way to see this is: "if it's that critical, you should do it yourself and make sure it'd done right"

Seriously changing pads on a C7 is as easy as, say, hanging a painting...

I went with carbotech when the car had 30 miles on it, so worth it!!!

This is a 25 page pic/text PDF of my 3 installs on my C7s: http://netwelding.com/Ceramic_Pads.pdf
First on my September 2013 built Z51 was a bit more difficult than 2015 and later. But the Grand Sport was very easy, just need to jack up one wheel at a time.

I agree to have it done right do DIY! If the OP is interested he has 3 months to buy new ceramic pads and review the 25 page doc to that has more info on brakes than he probably wants! But with that much time, why not!

Could always buy the pads and have the local Chevy Dealer (if he trusts one) to change them.

I wouldn't drive my Grand Sport with other than Carbotech Ceramic Pads. I wash my wheels only when I wash the car. With my 2014 Z51 was cleaning the OEM pad dust every ~150 miles ( 2 or 3 trips into town) or the dust not only looked bad, it was pitting my black wheels.

For a high quality low dust performance street pad I would recommend the Carbotech 1521 100% made in the USA. Non-corrosive dust will not harm your wheels or paint. You can order on line at http://ampdautosport.com/brake-pads/corvette/ or call me at 216-780-8825. The part numbers you need are front CT1405 and rear CT1718 these will be listed under the C7 ZO6 section. Use promo code z28 at check out to receive your forum discount. Price for the pads with discount should total $418.00.

Carbotech™ Bobcat 1521™ The Carbotech Bobcat 1521™ is our high performance street compound that is our most successful compound. The Bobcat compound is known for its awesome release and modulation, along with unmatched rotor friendliness. Like our AX™ & XP™ line of compounds, Bobcat 1521™ is a Ceramic based friction material offering minimal rotor damage and non-corrosive dust. Bobcat 1521™ offers outstanding performance, even when cold, low dusting and low noise with an excellent initial bite. This compound’s virtually perfect linear torque production provides incredible braking force without ABS intervention. Bobcat 1521™ operating range starts out at ambient and goes up to 900°F. Bobcat 1521™ is suitable for ALL street cars, perfect for your tow vehicle, police cruiser. The Bobcat 1521™ compound has been found to last two-three times longer than OE pads you can purchase at a dealership or national retailer. That’s one of the beauties of Carbotech Ceramic brake compounds. Bobcat 1521™ is NOT recommended for any track use. If you want
