What do people do with C7 withdrawal?
I found myself with my c7Z in the shop.
I tried to drop off on Monday so I’d get it back by friday. But the shop tells me they needed more parts so it’ll be until Wed.
It’s not an issue of a loaner either (which I turned down). My DD (Bimmer E46 vert) just isn’t good enough. I usu take my garage queen out on weekends first thing in the morn so I’m srsly jonesing now- I’m antsy, tried reading car blogs and posts, but it’s no good. My first 16 months with a vette- it must be love!
I’m really not complaining given the stories of prolonged nightmare repairs other members have gone through...But srsly, might need a Hertz or Touro rental today.

Lol.. here goes..
I lost both my keyfobs somehow and unable to drive my vette for over a month. Bought a key transmitter to reprogram only to find out i need the base key.
searched for base key couldnt find it and ordered one from the dealership..only to find the base key hanging off my house keys.
Proceeds to program new key only to find out its not compatible because it was a convertible key. Bought another key off a forum member
proceeds to program and unable to for some reason got to step 9 and failed like many others.
Now i have to have this car towed to the dealership and have them program it on tuesday. Judging by my luck they will probably tell me I have bought the wrong key and need to order a new one.
this whole fiasco is gonna run me about $700 just to get my perfectly fine vette to run again.
Talk about withdrawal.. 🤣

Be Brave! Absence makes the heart grow fonder! When you do get it back, you’ll appreciate it that much more! Be Strong! You can do this! Hang in there! Some of us have had to go months, even years between Vettes! You can do this!

Hang out on CF!
(sold my 2014 Z51 a month a half ago and won't take delivery on my GS until at least around Thanksgiving. At least I have my wife's Z06 to drive!)

my wife was supposed to keep the GS or Lexus coupe but she wanted an effing SUV- no fun
Ordinarily I’d be covered ...but I traded in my C7GS for the Z, and started selling off older cars to prepare to move houses more than 300 miles away - my Mustang GT and Lexus coupe. I’m in a dark place

My Stingray is my daily driver, but sometimes I leaver her at home and use my Civic. It can be refreshing to drive a “normal car” from time to time. It only lasts a couple of days, though. I usually find myself aching to get back into the Corvette. When I do, it’s like being in another world again.
I keep telling myself that I want a Civic Si or a Focus ST just as a fun little break from the Corvette. But I know I’ll find myself completely disappointed.

Had a buddy lost both of his fobs. Bought a new one and programed it at great cost only to find the lost fobs under the driver's seat. Had to dig but there they were!

Why yes, yes I do.
Keep in mind the "factory" stripe actually is about 10-15% wider on the roof. I cut these myself using knifeless tape and decided to follow the crease on the roof instead of the same width stripe all the way to the back.
For comparison purposes, this is what the car looks like with just the hood stripe.

Those of us in the cold north go through these kinds of withdrawls every winter unfortunately! That's why you see so many Corvettes with northern license plates in Florida in the winter, eventually the owners get tired of not being able to drive them all winter, so they become snowbirds
