I changed the battery in my key fob after my C7 didn't see it now and then. After changing it the fob didn't work - and I figured out that I had the battery in upside down - duh.

Now I can open the doors, but that's about it. The car won't start and seems to be wholly immobilized.

Any ideas? I know with my C5 you had to resynch the fob after a battery change.

Never mind - fixed it. I was stuck in a reprogramming sequence trying to fix it. Entering the car and pressing the unlock botton on the door ended that.

Everything is back to normal.

BTW I found this helpful hint in an old C7 Gen thread - so Corvette Forum comes through again!

Insert in Glovebox slot and try again. Read manual.if all else fails.

Slot is now located on the side of the steering column, about where the key used to be on many cars.
