2016 C7 convertible remote for convertible will not work/

I assume it works using dash button? First, check the battery. I believe it takes a CR2015.

Just an FYI, you need to hit the door lock button first then hit the button to lower the top.

Mine worked, but very often either my finger would slip while holding--you do have to hold it for the full cycle-- (or there was some break in the signal) and the top would stop part way. Fixed all the problems with Smarttop add-on--plus several other benefits.

Another FYI, When I first got mine I was hitting the trunk release and not the convertible top button. Make sure you hit the door lock button first as mentioned above.

Hit the unlock button on the fob then the button the lower the top.

Any error message in the DIC?A bad partition switch would give a message

My top will go down with the Fob, but will not go down with the button. I can then get in car and put top up with button. Is this a sensor issue?

TW Jolly, Your issue is most likely the interior switch, it can be tested w/ a scan tool to be sure.
