See attached..... as I stated on other "oil" threads here, the Mobil 1 Corvette development Engineer was at VIR recently and spoke about the Mobil 1 ESP 0w 40 and that they are recommending it for ALL C7 Vettes.

Earlier this week I took my 2019 to a small local Chevy dealer for its first oil change. I had an appointment but they said that they didn't have the oil and to come back the next day which I did. When they were finished I asked about purchasing a quart to go but they had only bought enough for my car so I took an empty bottle. When i got home I found it was the European Car Formula 0W-40. I called them and they said it might be 2 weeks before they could get the dexos ESP 0W-40. I'm thinking that I may be **** retentive but it's my car and my choice and i'm going by the owners manual. The next day I went to a different dealer who changed it to the Mobil 1 ESP Formula 0W-40. They pointed out that my car (purchased in April) had Mobil 1 DEXOS on the filler cap as well as a sticker on the right side of the engine bay saying dexos2 Mobil 1. 0W-40.

That wasn't ****! The Euro 0-40 is NOT GM dexos certified. Dealer should never had put that in your car. This is not the first post. When it wasn't at another dealer, they said they would get it locally. No Way as it's not available and sure enough they got the Euro stuff. That Euro 0-40 has been at Walmart in 5 quart jugs at the same < $24.

I'm on here looking since I have been using the 0w-40 Euro for about 10k miles now. My car runs much quieter at idle and at speed with the thicker oil. The only concern I have is that the Euro formula has more ZDDP in it then the recommended ESP formula... I don't know how much 200 PPM really hurts the exhaust system.

I'm just looking to see if anyone else is using it and how its working for them.
