Sounds like you should have bought an Elantra.

Best thing to do is dump sirius xm and get spotify and stream through the phone. Much cleaner sound and you can listen to litterally anything you want at anytime along with endless channels. All controlled by carplay or android auto. If you are 16-later.

Maybe GM figured you would rather want to listen to the EXHAUST instead of the radio!

This and the almost 5 second delay, between command, and action when changing channels from the steering wheel controls is just unacceptable in my opinion. I'm sure I sound like a whiner, but these are the type things that drove me away from American made cars for 25 years back in the late Eighties, There are other lacking features too, like not being able to skip backward several selections and replay previously listened to satellite tracks. How difficult is this to do when even Hyundai radios have this ability?
Finely someone mentioned my pet peeve with the radio. Electrons travel at the speed of light. Why do we have to have the annoying delay when changing channels using the steering wheel controls? GRRRRR!

Wow I thought that my Sirius pkg was deficient when all along it was the crummy radio. My Subaru radio when the channel is changed plays every song at the beginning-never in the middle a really great feature.

Because you are grossly over simplifying the matter.

Man, you are sounding like just a real hater. There's a legitimate issue here, and it's NOT the consumer!

Yep, ..it's the crummy radio, yet we have those here trying to defend it! Just check out the latest, the The SiriusXM 360L that FCA is bringing in the new Ram pickups! Where are You, .. GM???

I'm sorry. The speed of light is the only relevant factor when discussing how computers and radios work. My bad

Of course I am but my point is valid. I've owned many vehicles (with radios!) and none of them, including my previous C6, exhibited this annoying problem.

Funny; I thought people by and large bought this car for the engineering and performance that went into it, not the radio features. Did you get enough cupholders in it??

I think the only recourse we might get here is to beg SiriusXM to reconsider some of the channel lineup they did after most of these radios were built pushing them off the spectrum. The two channels that really affected me were Road Trip Radio and Yacht Rock stations. Yacht Rock used to be in at a much lower number around Escape and the classical stations and I would ask them to consider moving it back there. I really listened to Road Trip a lot but I can live without that one. To keep something positive the NFL play by play channels are very nice and are there with the trial. I could never justify paying for them with the NFL package but at least for this season I can listen to them through the end of November.
