Default 2019 GS and Maxjax question

Hey guys,

First off, I have neither yet, but the car comes at the end of June. I will need to do some concrete work to get the maxjax to work and need help on location.

I have a 2 car garage and need to know how far off the front wall folks are putting the posts. Since I don't have the car, I can't see where the center of the car will be, so I'm looking for some advice so I can dig up and pour new concrete before the car comes.

Thanks!

Are you sure you will need to dig up the concrete? I have a MaxJax and the lift is setup so the columns are next to the outside mirrors. The columns have to be the max 130 inches apart to permit the lift arms to fit under the car. Any Narrower than that and the pads wouldn't be under the frame lift points. As it is you have to have the car placed within an inch or two to have the pads under the frame properly.

Here are some pictures of my Z06 on hubstands sitting in the proper place for the lift the car so I could put the stands on the hubs.

Thanks for replying, Bill!

It's a new construction home and I don't trust the quality of material or workmanship, so I'd rather dig and over do it than take my chamces. How far from the front of the car to the side mirrors? That may give me a better idea of where I need to mark my concrete to saw and dig. To be safe, I'll probably do 2ftx2ft sqaures so I have some room to adjust as needed.

I have a similar question, but im unsure of the 130"? Is it 130" inside to inside or 130" outside/ back of maxjax to outside/back of maxjax?

I also had to go through the same ordeal with MaxJax. I installed it about 10" wider than the manual calls for, which worked.

Keep in mind, though, the lift is rated at 6K only with the polls installed at spec. I'd not lift anything heavy.

One good precaution is to use PC concrete epoxy. It has 22000 PSI strength, much more than the regular concrete with 3-4K PSI, and it makes the anchors much stronger.
