How about instead of around the lights, why not add a red stripe around your rims? The black rims offer little to no contrast to the tire, and Ive found a color stripe around the outter lip of the rim, just breaks up all that black.
Yeah I think I may do that, I did a test before the headlights just to get an idea and I really liked it
If you like it go for it! It doesn't matter what others like or don't like. But since you are asking, I think you are questioning yourself on how this looks. That indicates a no go. When something works, you know right away. You don't have to ask others.

I added an outline to the headlights, but I not sure it looks "right" so I would appreciate others input too. Ignore the gaps, if I decide I like it I'll re-do it more precisely.
Also im not sure it's 100% legal since it's technically reflective tape...
One thing to consider is doing the eyelids. I did not care for it at first, but then I spent the $7 and tried it and liked it. There are lots of vinyl out there but get glossy and for Torch Red the match was very, very close. I could not find the thread, but I found a picture (not my car).
