Default 2017 GS Brake Pads

What are the brand of brake pads that reduce brake dust ? Thanks in advance !

Sorry I didn't realize so many threads were running. I went to my local NAPA store today and they didn't have anything available yet.

Powerstop Z26 series pads. Very happy customer. NO issues, next to no dust, no loss of stopping power.

LOTS of threads on this subject, including currently running.

Carbotech 1521's and I love them. Like many have said, use to clean wheels every 50 miles but now just every now and then. Follow the directions from Adam and it's an easy project well worth the time. Remember with cost...you get what you pay for.

Check netwelding.com for step by step. I don't work on cars much and had no problems doing this. I expected some sort of trouble but nothing arose, easy to do. I suggest doing it ASAP. I waited like a fool. One of the best things I've done to date.

If you want a quality aftermarket pad I recommend the Carbotech 1521 pad. A low dust pad that is rotor friendly and performs like OEM and last longer. 100% non-corrosive dust will not harm your paint or wheels. This pad also contains NRS technology. Carbotech uses NRS technology on all C4, C5, C6 & C7 front and rear brake pads.

Here is a link to explain further what NRS technology is exactly: http://www.nrsbrakes.com

If interested I will be happy to help you out or you can order online here http://ampdautosport.com/brake-pads/corvette/ Use promo code z28 at check out for your 5% discount.

Carbotech™ Bobcat 1521™ The Carbotech Bobcat 1521™ is our high performance street compound that is our most successful compound. The Bobcat compound is known for its awesome release and modulation, along with unmatched rotor friendliness. Like our AX™ & XP™ line of compounds, Bobcat 1521™ is a Ceramic based friction material offering minimal rotor damage and non-corrosive dust. Bobcat 1521™ offers outstanding performance, even when cold, low dusting and low noise with an excellent initial bite. This compound’s virtually perfect linear torque production provides incredible braking force without ABS intervention. Bobcat 1521™ operating range starts out at ambient and goes up to 900°F. Bobcat 1521™ is suitable for ALL street cars, perfect for your tow vehicle, police cruiser. The Bobcat 1521™ compound has been found to last two-three times longer than OE pads you can purchase at a dealership or national retailer. That’s one of the beauties of Carbotech Ceramic brake compounds. Bobcat 1521™ is NOT recommended for any track use.

I have Powerstop Evolutions on my 2017 GS. My rotors are still like new. The dust disappeared and my wheels look great. I got mine off of Amazon for less than $100. Easy install and they work great for me.

I am sorry you do not like my posts about Power Stop. I got their pads to stop dust. Their pads damaged my rotors and after weeks of trying to talk to somebody all they could tell me it was rust and not their problem. My 2016 Z-51 has 4000 miles and have not washed with water in over 2 years so you tell me it is not their problem !!!! I am not the only with the problem. From what i have been told there was too much copper in these pads that are made in China. To remove this damage you have to sand it off and it takes hours and they still do not look like before i put their pads on. I have a 75,000.00 and the rotors look like **** because of their pads. I would not care if you could not see the rotors like the 1989 C4 Corvette that i had for 26 years.

I just put the Carbotech 1521’s I purchased from Amp’d on this week and I’m really happy with them. Great feel and my wheels are clean.

The dust free pads dont stop as good. Embrace your supercar brakes dont be a show and slow guy. Just wash your wheels more and put ceramic coat on them, will help repel dust.

How many miles did you go when you noticed your rotors turned brown?
