Thanks alot, 19 years and it took all those years to get all of it done and like you I also paid my mortgage off which really accelerated the project pace.

Downsizing to 3k sq ft. We built this last year in Amelia Island/Fernandina Beach, FL. The vette has been there since October and I'll be joining it permanently in a couple weeks. Giving up this work **** after 45 years. If there is not a golf club in my hand it will be a fishing pole. 12 minutes to the beach and 2 minutes to 2 golf courses.

Outside my office in Northern VA.

And my security system for both and best bud. :-)

Awesome shade trees to sit under!
Roger that. Thanks! The 21 trees on the roomy lot sold us for sure. The shade helps keep the cooling costs down in the brutal Texas summers. Your place looks great and relaxing. I let go of 25 1/2 acres to move here several years back and paid everything off as well when I retired in 2012.

Looks like an awesome layout!

I'm very thankful to have the garage that I do, but all these spacious 3+ car garages leave me, well,

For me they’ve been both. Yes, the homes I purchased I lived in and enjoyed everyone of them. And yes, they turned out to be amazing investments. One I sold for double what I paid for and put into it (maintenance, upgrades and yes even property taxes). Another sold for tripled what I paid for it, another increased by 50%.

So glad my wife talked me into buying our homed instead of renting. She is my financial genius ❤️

Nice layout. I agree, small lot, less maintenance. Going from an 11,607 sq ft lot to 7,500 sq ft. My new house, being built as we speak, has a 4 car garage. Double tandem layout which is 37 ft deep. Lots of room for storage and my 2 cars. We don't have basements in AZ so a large garage is a must.

That's great bosco1. It looks like you have a showroom and should start selling cars! You're all set.

Moving to Texas in a couple of years when the wife retires from the Navy and don't plan on ever living in a townhouse again. Can't wait for the move!
