Should I buy an extended warranty for my 2016 C7 online?
Hoping for some good advice here. I didn't purchase an extended warranty when I bought my 2016 Vette, but now that I've got 28k miles on it and the factory warranty will be running out before long I'm starting to think maybe I should have. I've been looking looking around online and there are a few websites offering "GM" extended warranties at discounted prices. Has anyone here had any experience purchasing a warranty on the internet? Good or bad? And how would I know if I'm getting a real GM warranty? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

For the absolutely best price contact Dennis. He sells GM Extended warranties and make sure you purchase one before your 3/36 runs out. I checked prices and compared Dennis' price to my local dealer and saved alot of $$$$ with Dennis. My local dealer was not in the same ball park.

Another vote for Dennis.
Remember, there's a 1000 mile/30 day waiting period for the extended warranty to activate, so you want to get it in place a little before yours runs out.

This is one of the very few frequently recurring questions on this forum, upon which is there is near unanimity. This question has come up dozens and dozens of time over the last decade or more, and the clear and predominant answer always comes up "FICHTNER."
I've now purchased 2 GM-branded, extended warranties from the Fichtner's and never found a lower price. One of those extended warranties replaced my C6 Z06 LS7 engine free of charge.

I used Dennis too, I got thoroughly confused, and he called me and walked me through it, without so much of a hint of irritation.
Avoid any warranty that is not the GM warranty. Pretty much 99% of all warranties out there are vaporware.

I plan to pull the trigger on an extended warranty this summer. That's three months before my BTB warranty expires...plan to buy from Dennis.

In addition to Dennis, I'm also considering purchasing an extended warranty from USAA. I did so for my Lexus, it was less expensive than anywhere else I researched, and my Lexus dealer honored it with no question. Obviously I'll ask my Chevy dealer if they'll honor it prior to purchasing.

Read the exclusions list carefully for each. If you have MSRC, make sure shocks are not excluded as they are on most extended warranties. The Chevrolet Protection Plan, which is now the GM-branded product, is the only one I've seen that does cover shocks including the MSRC system.

This. Did it with my C6, and now with my C7. Dennis is the man.

^^^What's odd about that? The extended warranty is cheaper when the car's new. I bought my extended warranty on my '08 from Dennis right before the 3/36 expired and had just gone over 25,000 miles and found out the cost of extended warranties goes up once you exceed certain mileage benchmarks.
By the way, another vote for Dennis!
