I like the option of shifting or not.Their is a flat fixed area for that left leg to stretch out nicely.Leave the tranny in D when the stereo's cranked or shift into M and start the paddle shifting.Screw the clutch...HA

The 2014 C7 auto comes with the A6 transmission. It's pretty much the same transmission that was in the C6. It's reputation is it's bullet proof with a very low failure rate. The 2015 and newer C7s have the A8 auto transmission. It has had some issues. Because I have an M7, I'm not an expert on the A8 so you should do some searching on this C7 forum.
Also, before you buy any used C7, be sure to get the service record from a GM dealer (you'll need the VIN). Review it with a service manager. If the car has been problematic, you'll find it in that service record. No, Carfax does not always include everything in the service record.
EDIT: I was 69 when I purchased my C7 with the M7. After having an auto Vette (A4) for just under 4 years, I wanted to get back to manual shifting. But that's a personal thing.

Wife drives a 2014, Z51 3LT convertible, A6. Been a great lil car. She hates the automatic, not because of any issues with it, just prefers a manual tranny. Her car has been a gem (so far).

While you're not shifting gears....you can enjoy the view of your leather dash

The A6 seems to be a good tranny. Congrats on getting a C7 and best of luck with it.
