I used "Greased Lightening" in cleaning my sidewalls. Sprayed it on and scrubbed with a nylon bristle brush, then rinsed with a blast of water. What the Greased Lightening did, was renew the original rubber tire look to the sidewalls.

As far as a "shiny look?" I sponged on a liquid floor finish (brand name escapes me now) for vinyl floors and fiberglass. It kept the shine for several weeks going into months before dissipating.

Yes sir...Not glossy when a light coat is applied, nice and black. Lasts as long as the next wash cycle. Grape flavored, yum!

I used meguiers Endurance for years with good results as long as you don't apply too much.
Started using aerospace 303 on the new Stingray and preferred the natural finish. But after almost 2 years, I'm dealing with brown tires for the first time.
So, off to Walmart for some bleachwhite. That stuff was the best for whitewall tires back in the day!

Zaino tire dressing. Minimal shine, no goop, repels dust pretty well. Lasts me about 2 to 3 washes between applications

I have used pretty much all of them at some point over the years and hate the gel stuff. My fav is definitely the Zaino. As stated 303 is also great and Lexol Vinylex is quality stuff as well.

I prefer to put the stuff in a little glass dish and apply it with a paint brush, let it soak in, and wipe off the excess a few minutes later with a paper towel.

No need to mortgage the bank for tire cleaner/black/shine. I have now been using Mother's back to black tire cleaner/ shine. Clear bottle. Yes leaves them looking wet at first after several hours and 4 or 5 applications it repels dirt, dust everything.

I can pressure wash my Z06 (even the tires) and dry the car/ wheels and leave the rubber to dry naturally and the tires just look deep black with no shine. 12$ a bottle. Last years for 1 bottle. Just one guy's opinion.

Non greasy.. dry's fast. Wet look goes away pretty quick.

After several applications, I don't have to touch the rubber for a couple months easy!

I would be careful putting anything on tires that wasn't designed to be a tire product. You just never know how those chemicals could react with the rubber, I know the chances are slim but they could degrade the integrity of the sidewall.

I must be ghetto because I like the Meguiars Endurance Gel gloss look with my high polished chrome wheels.

Tire dressings have come a long way in recent times. I remember a lot of them would sling up on the bodywork, but even the cheap stuff now doesn't seem to do that.

I used to just use Armor All back in the 80s when I first started driving! I don't believe there were any tire dressing products back then at all. How many of us on here remember those days?

I use Aunt Jamima maple syrup. Great shine, but does attract a lot of ants sometimes.

I was only replying to the person who said it is ghetto to have shiny tires. I would never call anyone ghetto for having shiny tires.

I also like the Endurance and the Intense. I let it dry before driving, so no slinging.

I'm using Armor All Extreme Tire Shine Gel....comes with a great applicator in the box which is exactly the right size for the Vette wheels.... lasts a few weeks.

I also agree that the Mequiars Endurance product is pretty good.

Proper tire dressing. You should NEVER spray on the tire. Over spray, drips, just flat out messy. Always use a good grip foam applicator . I just spray 5 times on my applicator per tire. Simple.

Nobody mentioned STONERS MORE SHINE LESS TIME. Using it for 20 years. Once around for matte and twice around for shiney with foam applicator.
